1. I just googled “Nero Davis” and Poughkeepsie and came to this site — as I am looking at Robert Noxon’s daybook where on March 4th, 1791 he declares he is freeing “My negro boy Cesar” after certain payments which were recorded. One of the payments by Nero Davies. Might I be able to post the photo of the entry?

   • I would love to see this. Davis (aka Nero Morris) has an interesting story.

   • Have you seen reference to “Cezar Robert Noxons boy” in Bartholomew Noxon’s will? The elder Noxon leaves one coat to “my negro George(?)” and one to Cezar “if he shall live with any of my children at my death.”
