Examination of John S Myers, respecting Sara Turner
Dutchess County fs. – Theexamination of JOhn
S Myers taken upon oath before us the
8th July 1808. respecting Sara Turner, says
that she has returned from her transportation
and has come to inhabit again in the town
of Poughkeepsie, and brought with her an infant
child, and that it is generally be-
-lieved that she frequents a house where a
child has the small pox in the natural way
that many of the citizens are seriously
apprehensive that she will be the means
of spreading the infectious disorder in the
part of the county if she be not immediately
