Dutchess County fs. The examination of Peter
Harrison taken upon Oath before us the 17th
Augt. 1809 – says he was the slave of Chillingsworth
Foster, in the town of Pawling, deceased __ says his
master set him free about 3 years ago. he paid
him seventy Dollars for his time. Foster sold him
to Micajah Barnum of Goshen, State of Connecticut
who was his last master ___ he came to Poughkeepsie town about eight weeks ago.

Sworn before us the
17th Augt. 1809 Peter + Harrison his mark
