Examination of Amy Lewis - Oct 5th 1811
Dutchess County fs. of Amy Lewis taken on oath before us the 5th day of 
October 1811 says she was ^born in the Town of Clinton the slave of 
James P Germand afterwards when a child she was sold to Jesse Oakley 
of this town with whom she lived till she was manumitted which was about 
7 years ago - she is about 40 years old and sick with the Kings Evil and 
unable to do any work and in poor circumstances having no property
