Albany Register – November 24, 1812

RAN AWAY 
FROM the subscriber, in the month of Sep-
tember, A NEGRO WENCH named FAN,
aged thirty years, five feet eight or nine inches
high, stout built, took with her an infant female
of nine months old, named DIANA. She asked per-
mission to visit her children in Schoharie county,
which was granted her; but she took this meth-
od the better to succeed in her elopement. Who-
ever will apprehend said runaway and secure her
in any gaol in the state, shall be entitled to TEN
DOLLARS Reward and all reasonable charges paid,
or if delivered in Albany, Twenty-five Dollars,
She has been heard of in Hudson, Esopus, and 
lastly in Poughkeepsie.
