of Common Pleas for Dutchess County Do certify
that from Proof reduced to Writing and
Exhibited |before me| in Poughkeepsie in
said County before me, I am of opinion that
Simeon Williams, a man of Colour + residing
in said Town is a free man according to
the laws of the State of New York, said
Williams is about five feet ten inches
high, a little upwards of twenty
nine years of age, was born in Pough-
keeps Town was manumitted in March 1813
