Dutchess County fs. The examination of Elizabeth
Tappen taken upon oath before me the 19 April 1811
says that Bob Churchill ^ or Evertson lately deceased, lived in her
house the first six months under Ompedo Freeman
and was to pay six dollars for the six months. but that
he never paid it__ That said Bob then hired her house
for himself and agreed to pay $14 a year. that
he has occupied the house since that time – one year
eleven months & a half. that the whole amount
of rent paid to her by said Bob is $16-19-10 __
That during the time aforesaid Sam Low & said
Bob agreed with the deponent that Sam should take
part of the house, and become responsible for the rent
at two dollars per month, and that the deponent did
not afterward hold said Bob liable for that part of
the rent so taken by Sam
