To any constable of Poughkeepsie
Town in the said County-
Whereas upon the complaint of the Overseers of the
Poor of Poughkeepsie Town and other inhabitants
of said Town unto whose names are hereunto set
and seals affixed being two of the Justices of the
Peace in and for the said County that Harry
Van Brunt and Jenny his wife together, with his Daughter
Hannah Eve and an infant three or four months old have
come to reside in the said town not having gained any legal
settlement therein nor produced any certificate owning them
to be settled elsewhere- We the said Justices upon due proof
made unto us upon oath and likewise upon due consider
ation had of the premises do adjudge the same to be true
We do likewise adjudge from the testimony before us that the
last place of legal settlement of the said Henry Van Brunt and
his ^[???] family is in the Town of Clinton in the county of Dutchess
and also that the said Harry Van Brunt and his family are
likely to become chargeable to the said town of Poughkeepsie and
we having  [here ????] viz on the 16th Day of February ordered
the said Harry Van Brunt to depart from the said Town of Pough
keepsie with his his said family to the last place of legal settle
-ment by the 27th Day of February which order he nor they
have not obeyed There are therefore in the name of the [Sofa]
of the state of New York to command you the said constable to
take and convey the said Harry Van Brunt and his said family
from the Town of Poughkeepsie to the Overseers of the Poor of the
Town of Clinton or any of these together with this our precept and order
