We the undersigned the overseers of the Poor of the
Town of Poughkeepsie in the County of Dutchess
and State of New York, Do certify that Hannah
a woman of colour, who has this day been
manumitted, and set free by James Tallmage of
Poughkeepsie appears to be under the age of
forty five years to wit about thirty four years
and of sufficient abilityto provide for herself
